Laureate UPF50+ DWR Shorts

These are beautiful! Quality and fit are awesome. I am a size 10. ( 5'7" - 139 lbs Hips 40" waist 30" )and a Medium fits loose & comfortably!) see photo .They are well made - dry very quickly. (I tested this) I am going to be doing some hikes in hot weather - so the fact that they are lightweight and dry quickly is important. I can't be more pleased. Have gone through a few other "long camping shorts" - but these are the bomb!! Five pockets: 3 with zipper closures in front: two regular hip pockets and one thigh pocket.Two large pockets with good strong velcro closures in back.Colors are true. I just ordered 3 more.The 10" inseam is accurate.I can't be more pleased.

I have bought Baleaf shorts before, but not this style or material. It is light weight, lots of pockets, and comfortable. I accidentally spilled water on my front and shorts while golfing, a whole other story, but they somewhat repeIled the water and dried very fast where it soaked in. I wore them golfing when it was 103 degrees, no sweaty bum or crotch for me. Kept cool and breathable. I like the length, it fits me right at my knees. I am 5?10? tall, 210lbs. They appear to be made very well and if my other Baleaf shorts are any indication, I will wear them for years to come.

I'm just finishing my first full day of wearing these. I'm not a hiker or used to wearing this kind of fabric. I'm just a 67 -year-old woman wanting long-ish, at-waist shorts that don't cost a fortune and I think these will do just fine. I'm 5'7.5, weigh about 155 and am wearing a medium, although they'd probably feel even better if I lost 5 lbs. But they're still comfortable and I would say true to size. I bought the light gray and the color is as would be expected.UPDATE. These have been my favorite shorts since ordering them 2 years ago. However, the zipper is now failing. It slips about 2/3 of the way down. The shorts have plenty of wear in them otherwise…. Disappointed. Am ordering another pair and hope the zipper thing won’t happen again.

My preference is a longer short & I finally found the best shorts for me! I?m active & live in the desert, the fabric is amazing, light weight & very comfortable (so much so that when I 1st put them on it didn?t feel like I had any clothes on!) Love the waist elastic on the sides to help with movement. The perfect amount of pockets at 5, front & side pockets all have flat lay zippers & back 2 have a Velcro tag. Fit is true to size. Love these shorts & highly recommend them.

Too large and can’t return.
Have to shop elsewhere now.

These appear to be a nice quality short. I returned as they were too large for me. I based the size ordered on my measurements and the Baleaf size chart. Return process was easy.

I have bought joggers not shorts from this seller .I have to have pockets .I work on a plant nursery .They are the most comfortable shorts ever.I get them dirty easy to clean .I can work in them ,they are the best for work and their joggers are great as well for the fall

The quality and styling are very comfortable. However the fit is quite baggy. I usually wear a large, but the fit was too big. I’m going to order a medium. Hope they fit better.

I have many pairs of Bayleaf shorts and pants. I wear them almost everyday for pickleball and running around They are comfy, soft, quick dry, take up minimal space and always look nice. Ample zipper pockets that accommodate a phone and safe keep credit cards, etc... Have had shorts/pants for years and never pill, snag, stain, fade or make noise. Note: Avoid Bayleaf shorts with a two-snap closure at waist as snaps are too shallow and unsnap when bending over. I have two pairs In two sizes with two snaps and feel they are both faulty and should be replaced by Bayleaf, especially given their price, however, I've yet too tell them. Single snap works as it should.

Update 8/2/23: I?m still wearing the first 2 pair & just purchased my 3rd pair. I originally ordered them for hiking, but I wear them all the time! They dry quickly, wash well, & continue to look great after several washes. Pockets are functional & my iPhone fits in side pocket. Great quality! Original review: These shorts are lightweight & perfect for hiking. I ordered a Large & they are pretty baggy. I plan on ordering them again in medium.

These appear to be well made, but have an odd fit. I generally wear a size 10. Based on the reviews, I ordered a large. At first blush, they don't fit well. First of all, they are short waisted and don't fit at the waist level shown in the photos. I have fairly slim legs and they fit the upper leg a bit snugly, you have to pull them down a bit so that they don't buckle around the crotch. I bought them to play golf. The length comes down to just above the knee. The fabric is lighter than I expected and silky, not the greatest for a hiking short. I'll try them for playing golf and update this review. They are well sewn and have some nice features. Will have to see if the positives outweigh the negatives. Update: After a few washes, the fabric relaxed some and they now are a much more comfortable fit. Overall...not a bad short, but definitely buy a size larger than you normally would or they won't fit at all.

These are very very nice shorts lightweight and airy for summer walking, hiking. The dark gray and light gray are very nice neutral colors. Hit right above the knee plenty of storage Pockets. I wear a size 6 therefore I bought the small ...and also the medium because some reviewer said medium fits better for smaller sizes. small was best for my size 6 through the legs and hips. However the waistband even with a Section of elastic on both sides they were too tight, Uncomfortable. I was very sad as everything else fit perfect. sadly, returning.

I was shopping for lightweight shorts for golf and outdoor activities. The fabric and features on these shorts are nice -- lightweight but sturdy fabric, and I like the pockets. But the fit was very strange. It's as if there's too much fabric in the side sections that are elasticized at the waist. The fit across the center front and back was fine, but they "poofed out" (can't think of a better way to describe it) on the sides. I'm 5'4", 148 pounds and pear shaped. Even with the extra in my hips, there was too much fabric in the hips on these shorts. I usually buy a L (Size 12) but bought an XL in these based on other reviews. The waist fit comfortably. These shorts ALMOST worked but I'm returning them. Found others that fit better.
