Laureate Women's UPF 50+ Cooling Hooded Zip-Up Jacket

Love this pretty, tie-dyed look, pink jacket. Light weight, but it’s a warm layer on cool mornings. The hood is deep enough to allow for a ponytail and still reaches comfortably over my forehead. The drawstring is very easy to adjust. The sleeves have a little extra length so the thumb holes don’t tug on my hands when running. It also has all the nice Baleaf touches…very neat stitching, a cover for the zipper at the neck, and deep, zippered pockets. Fit is very feminine and perfect for me. (5’6”/140 - Bought a large.)

I ordered this to compare to some other much much more expensive ones. I loved everything about this except for the fact that it doesn’t have a hole in the hood for a ponytail. I have long hair and this is a big deal for me, which is why a took a star off. Rather than returning it, I am having a friend cut open the seam for a few inches and then finishing the edges again. While it won’t be the horizontal opening like I prefer, a vertical opening better is than nothing.

This is not the same item it was a few years ago, and is much lower quality. I have the tie-dye version that I've used for years and it's great. It prevents sunburn and has great design details that make it comfortable and practical, and has held up great after dozens of washings. I decided to order a second one as a backup because it's great, and the design has changed and is made more cheaply. It no longer has the adjustable toggles around the hood and there are no zippers on the pockets. The thumb holes design have also changed to be more simplified and are not as comfortable. They changed the design of the hood completely and changed the zipper toggle. I'll still keep it because of the hassle of returning, but disappointed that they've changed it, I liked the zippered pockets especially, on the older one since I wear this for fishing. My original one from a few years ago was much nicer and higher quality. The price hasn't lowered, but the quality has gone down on this item. Overpriced for the reduced quality, it should be at least $10 less as it is cheaper quality like a lot of the other ones available on here. I won't trust this brand going forward as they are apparently cutting corners and making cheap quality now.

its a great lightweight cover. It is perfect for a trip because it doesn't take very much room when packing.

These are a must have if you’re planning on being under the sun but don’t want to get sunburnt. I’ve used it for playing pickleball, gardening and going to theme parks. Amazing quality and super comfortable!
