These are comparable to similar yoga pants from a well known popular "name" brand. I would say this is an extremely affordable and top quality alternative! These are a very cool-to-the-touch, stretchy, satiny material. They are form fitting above the knee, and flair from the knee down, so although they fit like leggings from the knee up and across the abdomen and waist, they look like a nice pair of pants/slacks overall. They provide some abdomen/tummy slimming without feeling like you're being squeezed. My "size" should be medium, but knowing the nature of yoga pants and personally not liking a super tight fit, I ordered large and I'm very happy with the fit (I'm 5'3" and 145 lbs.). They are a little long, but by scrunching them up a bit on the upper leg, they don't drag and don't need to be hemmed. I will be using them for casual attire &/or lounging at home; I don't actually "do" yoga!As far as the color, I wouldn't describe them as dark gray, but they are definitely not light gray. I'd best describe them as a medium gray, making them a good match for lots of colors for a coordinating top.And what's the top priority for women these days? Well, the answer is YES! They have TWO functional and usable pockets. They are of a decent size that can comfortably handle a smart phone. The pockets are nice and deep, and because they are another layer of the same stretchy material, conform to the shape of what's put in them so they hold objects securely and stretch around thicker items. The waistband is a fold over design that you can determine how you want to fold it over, or even keep it unfolded to act like a body slimmer right up to the bra line and worn with an untucked shirt. The panel has a slight hourglass shape when unfolded, which gives it a nice fit at the waist. The sides are slightly bunched, giving a nice looking finish when folded over. I find the waistband doesn't roll and stays in place whether folded over, or extended to slim up to the bra line and worn under a tunic top. The waistband can also be folded over and extended to provide a double layer of extra slimming and smoothing across the abdomen.Just a note about the styling on these pants. The seams that run down the outside of the legs do not run down the center of the leg. They align with the back of the pocket and run down the leg about halfway between the side and the back of the leg. This creates a very pretty up and down line, and a nice unobstructed smooth surface when the legs are looked at from the front. Do not look for symmetry when viewing these pants from the side and don't try to twist the pants to make the seam run down the middle of the leg; it won't.Overall, I am loving these pants. They have become one of my favorites!.
