The inseam on these BALEAF Women’s Hiking Pants is about 29 inches no matter the size. So I was afraid the pants would be too long on me, but I figured at least I could wear the shorts. The pants are indeed too long since I’m so short. Wearing hiking boots with a thick rubber sole helps with the height, though not quite enough for my liking. But the waist fits fine so I can wear the shorts. When you zip the pant legs off, the inseam of the shorts is 6 inches.I love the Army Green color and all of the features that are built into these pants: quick-drying water-resistant 100% polyester material, UPF 50+ sun protection, cord-lock cargo pockets, secure zip pocket, rear pocket, gear loop, and comfortable elastic waist. The pants are loose-fit with zippered side vents and adjustable Velcro tabs for tucking in the bottoms. The zip-off legs detach smoothly and the shorts fit well. I just wish the pants weren’t so long.

I got these because I was a little jealous of my husband and son, who can bring one pair of pants traveling and use it for long pants or for shorts. Finally I got my own!I like that these have an elastic waist for comfort, but also a drawstring that I can tie tightly if I want. They have lots of pockets, the fabric is light weight and quick-dry. The legs can open up from the bottom for a little breeze, or zip off entirely to turn into shorts. They aren't super warm, but I would only bring convertible pants/shorts on a trip when I expect the weather to be temperate. The price is much lower than a comparable pair at REI. I just couldn't quite figure out the purpose of the strappy part.Here's the scale I'm using for my ratings:1 star= Nope! I do not recommend. It’s poorly made, or not what it’s listed to be.2 stars = Has some redeeming qualities, would not buy again.3 stars = Meh. It's passable. Absolutely love these! I like the lightweight and soft material and appreciate that the fit is looser which will make mobility hiking and scrambling up rocks much easier. I really like all the pockets. Product seems to be of high-quality and well-made and the fit is perfect.

These pants are so cute and have a ton of great features. Lots of pockets, convert to shorts, lightweight breathable fabric and stylish but sadly they are so long I had to return them. When I say sadly I mean sadly. I looked to see if sizing down would help and I’m just height challenged for this particular pair of pants. I’ve have quite a few of the Baleaf brand and I’ve always been so happy with them but these just ran really long. If they had an elastic cord at the ankles I probably could have made it work but even with the Velcro at the bottom they just didn’t. I’m happy for all you tall ladies out there. You will enjoy these awesome pants!!!

Bought these for an upcoming trip to Africa. Needed both shorts and pants as the weather can change by 30-40 degrees going up Kilimanjaro. These work well for that purpose. I got a small and they were well size for layering as well fitting a 120lb 5’10 female that normally wears a small. The zip offs legs have Velcro at the bottom to cinch around your boots and a zipper to ease removal when converting to shorts. The material is light and rip stop so high quality feeling. Color was true to website and we liked the grey. Good value easy sizing and pockets for your gear and convertible makes these a definite travel plus.

Really like these pants. A little long for a 5’3” lady. Wish there were 2 hip back pockets instead of 1. It’s on the left and I’m right handed so not as useful. Very lightweight comfortable fabric.
