Shawn is a runner for St Jude Heros and Operation Enduring Warrior race teams as well as a proud ambassador. Shawn is a firm believer that work ethic is more important than natural talent and that if you can see yourself doing something than you can believe it.

Jada found figure skating as an adult during her fourth year of university. She plans to compete in her first competition at the 2020 Eastern Adult Sectional Figure Skating Championships in the Solo Free Dance event.

Christopher has been running for 8 years, but has been running competitively for the past 5. After adopting a vegetarian diet and meditative lifestyle, Christopher has became a leader of health and running in his community, organizing a running group in his home town. “True progression in life comes from putting one foot in front of the other no matter the distance of the step.”

Jamie is a SAHM who loves doing all kinds of circuit workouts at home. She started her journey after struggling with new postpartum life. She’s lost 25 pounds and isn’t stopping there! She loves helping other women on their health and fitness journey. She believes true mindset shift & patience is the key to a successful weight loss journey.

Joe Hefferon- @joehefferon

Joe was never much for running until he set a goal in 2019 to run a half marathon. The training became more effective when he embraced a mantra of ultra runners, "you just keep going."
One week after completing the half marathon, Joe ran in a 10K Spartan Trail Race and not only won his age group but instantly loved the sport.
"My training is a 50/50 mix of running and resistance work.
Baleaf has all the clothing I need to compete in any weather."

Nicole started running about 5 years ago to slow the aging process and break some unhealthy habits. 3 years ago she added Crossfit to her training and it helped tremendously. She has 3 marathons, 12 half marathons, a 50K, too many to count 5k’s and 5 CrossFit competitions under my belt. She loves to motivate people and show them at any age you can start, any ability can start, you just have to start which is the hard part.

A marathon runner in Richmond, VA(RVA) with a unique injury return story. Sept 2018 on Labor Day weekend was injured in a terrible mountain accident nearly took his life Shawn returned in February 2019 to complete countless Marathon, Half Marathons, 11K, 10Ks, and 5Ks that year. He was added to the Berlin Marathon 2020. Shawn is a runner for St Jude Heros and Operation Enduring Warrior race teams as well as a proud ambassador.  Shawn is a firm believer that work ethic is more important than natural talent and that if you can see yourself doing something than you can believe it.

Jada found figure skating as an adult during her fourth year of university. What started as a passive hobby, taking regular group lessons and practicing a couple times a week, turned into a nearly 20 hour per week commitment between training on and off the ice. In her free time, she loves to take high intensity boxing classes and dance at local studios. She plans to compete in her first competition at the 2020 Eastern Adult Sectional Figure Skating Championships in the Solo Free Dance event.

Christopher has been running for 8 years, but has been running competitively for the past 5. With races covering distances from 5 kilometers to 50 kilometers, Christopher has found joy, peace, and self-discovery with putting his feet to the earth. Carla is a middle school media specialist and a 29 year educator. After work, her "home" is the gym where she daily weight train and cardio. Her goal is continued to focus on her health and fitness so that she can feel her best every day and prevent diseases like diabetes that run in her family. Her second love is being outdoors. She is often spotted doing her "urban" walking. She has a favorite outdoor shopping complex where she frequently walks to get in her 10,000 per day step goal. The business owners often wave at her and strike up conversation. Moving is her mojo!

Seth is a middle school Physical Education teacher and high school tennis coach whose life revolves around exercise. He is an avid runner who has recently been involved in cycling and CrossFit. He enjoys new challenges in the fitness world, and also loves to continue to learn new forms of physical activity. He also loves to spread the word of the benefits of daily physical activity to his students, and encourages them to develop healthy lifestyles.

Recently, he told us that he has purchase one of Baleaf long sleeve hooded shirts, and it is perfect for cold weather running!

Steve began running in January 2019 and completed hi first marathon in Chicago with a finish time of 3:45.52. His favorite races are 10k’s and half marathons, however his focus now is to qualify for the Boston Marathon in 2020. He's a top 20 runner in Columbia, SC and uses his little but loud platform to help others and bring awareness to mental health prevention.

Over the past few years, Cody has realized the potential within him to perform at a competitive level. This has placed him among the top 10 elite in the Michigan Spartan Race Series. He uses cross-training, cycling, and running to supplement his success. With the support and help of his wife, he is able to balance nutrition, work, life, and school while achieving his fitness goals.

"Geoffrey, previously bitten by the running bug, started a new hobby a little more than 5 years ago: lifting weights. He's gradually and painstakingly gone from 68kg/150lbs at the start to 92kg/202lbs now, and has since helped other people transform their lives as well, whether their goal is losing fat, gaining muscle, getting stronger or just becoming healthier. He's a big believer in science-based training, but also in every individual taking ownership of their own training and their own lives. We are all an experiment of one, and it's crucial that each person's training is as unique as they are.

After the birth of her second child she was determined to discover her inner runner! She followed the couch to 5k app and ran her first 5k. Now seven years later sh's about to run my 4th marathon! She couldn’t do life without her #runsquad and is excited to see which finish lines she will cross in 2020!
